Sutton Hoo offers an insight into the Anglo-Saxon world. Specifically, it showcases the burial of a warrior king in his ship in the early seventh century, giving background on customs, art and daily life.

It links to the 'invaders' element of the history curriculum at Key Stage 2, Unit 7b. At Key Stage 1, we offer 'Who used to live here?', an exploration of an Edwardian house to connect with 'life at an earlier period' in the history curriculum.
