The Weir is managed to create a varied habitat for a wide range of wildlife and is spectacular all year round, with drifts of early spring bulbs giving way to a succession of wild flowers, followed by a final flourish of autumn colour – courtesy of the mature trees. The river provides a sense of movement and change and is the perfect backdrop for a tranquil walk.
