Gateway to the White Cliffs Visitor Centre Opened in May 1999 the visitor centre contains computer interactives, videos, audio sculptures and stunning photography that take the visitor from prehistoric times to the present day, emphasising the importance of the area. There is also a cafe, serving a range of refreshments and light lunches - specialising in coastal and Kentish fare - and a National Trust shop.

Guided tours with the Countryside Warden Pre-booked guided tours are available at a charge. Please allow 1 hour for an introductory tour of the White Cliffs. For a more in-depth tour, including a walk and a visit to South Foreland Lighthouse, please allow 3 hours.
