Intimately linked to the picturesque stream running the length of the garden, paths lead up to a terrace and summerhouses, from where there are splendid views across Mount's Bay to The Lizard. The walled gardens contain many rare and unusual species which are difficult to grow in the open anywhere else in the country. Kitchen garden crops are gradually being reintroduced into the productive area. Visitors can climb on to a raised platform to take in the scale of the walled gardens and their unique raised beds, built to the dimensions of Noah's Ark, as described in The Bible.
