Chaplain's Lodge
Nestled in the picturesque Tyntesfield estate, Chaplain's Lodge, a mid-Victorian gate lodge, has been lovingly restored to provide all modern comforts in a period setting.
In the 1840s, the lodge marked the northern entrance to the estate and would have been the home to a gate keeper, but was later lived in by the Gibbs family’s butler, Mr Hemmings.
The Lodge sleeps 5 + cot, has two spacious bedrooms, one single bedroom, kitchen, sitting toom, bathroom and entrance porch. During your stay enjoy the 500 acre estate, woodland walks, working Kitchen Garden and complimentary entry to the house and gardens.
Chaplain's House
Chaplain’s House offers a unique experience to live in Victorian style, as well as enjoying all the modern comforts of this recently restored house.
Built between 1889 and 1891 in the dramatic Gothic Revival style, it was home to the Gibbs family's chaplain.
Chaplain's House sleeps 6 + cot, is set over three floors with three bedrooms, bathroom, separate toilet, entrance hall, sitting room (with open fire) and kitchen. During your stay enjoy the 500 acre estate, woodland walks, working Kitchen Garden and complimentary entry to the house and gardens.
Summerhouse Cottage
A delightful mid 19th-century cottage. Thought to orginally have been used as a hunting lodge.
The cottage is situated along a quiet track on the edge of woodland, but only 450 metres away from the main house.
Looking onto the octagonal Summerhouse, the cottage also has views onto a narrow and level garden backing onto farmland. Guests have access to the formal gardens in the evening, as well as being able to enjoy the rights of way through the ancient woodland.
Summerhouse cottage sleeps 2, is a single storey cottage with a sitting room (with open fire), kitchen, one double bedroom and bathroom.
