Uppark is a fine late 17th-century house situated high on the South Downs with magnificent views towards the Solent. It houses an important collection of paintings, furniture and textiles formed by members of the Fetherstonhaugh family and is set in attractive grounds.
Uppark is both a magical survival from the age of enlightenment that aimed to achieve a seamless blend of nature, art and architecture; and an equally remarkable restoration following the fire of 1989.
