About this property
An ancient fenland landscape and internationally renowned wetland site, Wicken Fen is home to the Wicken Vision Project, the Trust's most ambitious landscape-scale habitat restoration project. Explore one of England's most diverse wetland sites boasting more than 7,000 species of wildlife including otters, water voles and tree sparrows. Wicken Fen offers a mosaic of wetland habitats making sightings of raptors such as harriers, owls and kestrels commonplace. Konik ponies and Highland cattle can be seen grazing the reserve all year round and White Park cattle graze near the visitor centre from April to October. A raised boardwalk makes this rare and unique wildlife haven accessible and enjoyable for all, all year round.
