Enter our Favourite Walks Competition sponsored by RIAS. and you could win a week’s holiday in one of our fabulous holiday cottages, worth up to £1000.
Spring has finally arrived - the perfect time to shake off those winter blues with a good walk and some fresh air. Walking is extremely beneficial to health and well-being, but did you know it can also be energizing and fun? There are over 70 walks to download, taking in the most spectacular scenery England and Wales have to offer, with more being added all the time.

Whether you're interested in dramatic seascapes or rolling parkland, river walks, woodland scenery, wildlife or just somewhere peaceful to relax and wander on a spring afternoon, our downloadable walks will give you a memorable day out and the chance to enjoy a more active and healthy lifestyle.
The competition
Simply choose one of the walks, and then write in and describe your experience of it. Tell us what you liked, what you saw, and, if you complete more than one walk, which was your favourite and why. The panel of judges will be looking for originality, interesting content and a description of the walk that will entice others to try it. Feel free to send in photos with your entry.
Remember, the walks are free* and each one is graded for length and difficulty level, so there really is something for everyone, wherever you live and whatever your fitness level. Walk sheets are simple to download, and provide easy route directions, an Ordnance Survey map plus practical hints about what to look out for on the way.
So what are you waiting for – get walking!
