Beautiful gardens with a fine collection of shrubs, including rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias. Take a walk around the delightful Skelghyll Woods, or wander up to Jenkins Crag, recently voted the Lakelands most romantic viewpoint. Located just off the main path through the wood, you'll find some of the tallest conifers in Cumbria here. Watch out for the steep and unprotected drop at the front. NY380029
