Fashion of the age

Sir Edward Phelips would have worn something like this in his house

Look out for our Tudor Sir and Lady, sadly only as dress makers dummies. You never know where they might pop up in the house. They will both be dressed in what would have been their Tudor Sunday best.

Would you be happy to wear so many layers? It would have taken forever to get dressed in a morning.

Wolf Hall

We hope you have enjoyed Wolf Hall screened in January. The house and gardens were transformed into Greenwich Palace, Henry VIII's London seat.

Farmers market

A variety of stalls offering everything for your table from cheese, bread, wine, and chutneys to a selection of handmade crafts

Sunday ladies

Close view of part of a spinning-wheel at Montacute House

Why not come and see our lovely ladies, spinning and showing off their needlework skills in the library. Marilyn and Brenda will be dressed in their Tudor finery, and will be happy to have a chat.

Park run

Get fit and explore the parkland at the same time. Join one of the park runs, every Saturday morning at 9am for a 3 miles (5k) free run.
