Eating & shopping
Come and join us in our Potting Shed café for scrumptious light lunches, chosen especially for the season and served daily from 12pm to 2pm. From succulent chicken and spring vegetable broth to a hearty chilli, there's something for everyone. After a leisurely stroll across the meadows and around our rose garden, why not drop in for that all important cup of tea and freshly baked slice of cake? All of our produce is locally and sustainably sourced including vegetables from our very own garden.
Sit out in the courtyard of our historic stable yard and enjoy a freshly made cup of tea or coffee. Don’t forget a piece of our homemade cake or scones and jam. With so many flavours to choose from, we wouldn't be surprised if you were tempted to try one of the delicious ranges of ice cream sundaes whilst you're here too.
Our stable yard café opening does depend on the weather and availability of staff so please give us a ring or pop into the main café to find out if we're open before you visit.
Nestled in our historic walled kitchen garden lies our busy little shop offering an array of delightful products. Whether you're looking for a gift or a treat for yourself, you're sure to find something amongst the crafts, books and preserves from well-known brands and local suppliers.
Our bookshop is in the horse stalls of our historic stable yard. We have a wide range of exciting books for both adults and children just waiting for you to stop by and browse. All of the money we raise goes straight back into helping us care and maintain your park.
Discover local crafts
Our old estate workshops house a variety of local crafts workers. Be inspired by the beautiful paintings, pick up something lovely for the children or take away an unusual bird box.
The craft workers are all independent so opening times do vary. Give us a ring before you come if you are interested in a particular workshop.
