The park has a network of footpaths, many with wide smooth surfaces suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Design your own circular walk taking in the river, the water mills, the rose garden, the meadows or wetlands.
Relax and enjoy
There are several beautiful quiet places in the park to enjoy a picnic, read, play games or just relax and take in the environment around you.
The park is on the 14-mile (20km) Wandle Trail, following the route of the River Wandle from Croydon to Wandsworth. The trail has walking and cycling routes. Part of the Wandle Trail is on the National Cycle Network.
Purchase our new family I-spy sheet from the bookshop for 50p. Challenge your family to see who can spot the most things in the park first. You don’t have to do it all on one visit, just come back again to finish it.
Orienteering is a sport for all ages and abilities. Buy a copy of our orienteering map and trail for £1 from the shop or second-hand bookshop. Don’t forget your compass: it might help.
We’ve worked out the 50 best possible adventures to have before you're 11 ¾. Come down to the park to pick up your scrapbook and join the fun. You can get your 50 Things scrapbook from our shop or second-hand bookshop.
We've lots of play spaces in the park. You can find out more about seasonal food with the activity boards by the café. Let off steam in our natural play area or let your imagination take over on our storyboat.
