Soak up the festive atmosphere in our Victorian stable yard and browse handmade vintage items, arts and craft products and delicious, locally sourced food. Whilst shopping, enjoy the sounds of live music and carols, as well as seasonal treats such as mulled wine and mince pies.

Have a go at making a festive decoration to hang on your tree

Sun 7 December, 11am-3pm

Get creative in our free tree dressing festival. Make your Christmas tree extra green this year and have a go at making handmade, sustainable decorations. Be inspired by the community decorated trees in the stable yard exhibition centre.

Thursday 4 to Thursday 18 December

Come into the warmth of the exhibition centre in our Victorian stable yard and take a look at the beautifully decorated Christmas trees. If you are part of a community group or organisation and would like to exhibit a Christmas tree, we would love to hear from you.

Christmas lunches

Weekends of 6-7 and 13-14 December

Join us for a special Christmas lunch in the Potting Shed cafe. Our festive menu includes traditional turkey or puff pastry parcels, followed by a delicious trifle.

We'll be busy baking home made mince pies so why not stop off in the cafe after a winter walk and treat yourself.

  • Hot lunches are served from 12noon - 2:30pm

Every home needs a tree at Christmas and we have a wide variety for you to choose from. Pop down to the stable yard where one of our garden centre staff will help you to pick out your perfect tree.

 

Festive shopping

Pop into our shop for some festive inspiration this Christmas. Whether you're looking for the perfect gift, decorating your home or simply treating yourself, we have a great selection for you to choose from. 

Winter walks

Winter is a magical time of year in the park, with early morning frosts and mist rising from the river. Burn off those mince pies with a stroll through the park and warm up in our Potting Shed cafe with a cup of tea afterwards.
