The best 50 things to do at Mottisfont

There are lots of great things on this year's 50 things list.

You can do most of them right here at Mottisfont and on our wider estate. Pick up your booklet when you visit and start your adventure.

Don't forget to check out all the workshops and activity days we'll be running throughout the year.

    #19 Play pooh sticks

Families playing Pooh sticks off the white bridge at Morden Hall Park, London

We've got three great bridges here at Mottisfont: one wooden, one metal and one brick. Try your luck on each of them to see which is the best for pooh sticks.

#11 Go on a really long bike ride

    Family Cycling

Grab your bikes this year and discover our estate. Cycle around Spearywell Woods and explore as you go. Park up in the car park and pick up the cycle routes. For the more adventurous of you, try the off-road tracks in the woods or cycle along the Test Way between Romsey and Stockbridge - stopping off here for an ice cream along the way.

    #4 Build a den

    Den building at Brockhampton Estate

We have an amazing den area ready for you to get building. It's part of our wild play area where you'll also be able to climb a tree, make a trail with sticks and hunt for bugs.

    #44 Go bird watching

Children can take out a tracker pack at Polesden Lacey, Surrey

Mottisfont is home to a huge range of birds. You'll see lots of birds here from ducks, swans and robins to birds of prey like kestrels. Borrow a pair of our binoculars and pick up a bird spotter guide and see what you can find.

#24 Go on a walk barefoot

    Photo of boy

We've got lots of space to run around and feeling the grass between your toes is the best way to walk.
