The Needles Old Battery tea-room
The Needles Old Battery has one of the National Trust's most unusual tea-rooms and certainly has some of its best views.
The Needles New Battery kiosk
Don't be put off by the stark exterior of the refreshment kiosk at the Needles New Battery, situated next to the next to the bus turning point.
Meet the faces behind the cakes...
Hannah's speciality is bread pudding, just like mum used to make.
Chloe specialises in food for people with allergies.
Rachael is our cheese scone expert with a recipe which has been in use for over 10 years.
...and some of our island suppliers
- Calbourne Classics supply the rich clotted cream for our cream teas.
- The Garlic Farm's onion & garlic marmalade is used in our ploughman's.
- New Forest ice-cream uses milk from the island's Briddlesford Farm
Food for all the family
Children are always welcome in our tea-room and high chairs are available if needed. We don't have a special children's menu but we do have special child-sized portions. And if you can't see exactly what you're looking for and would like something different, our catering team will do their very best to help you by adapting what's on offer.
As well as opening from 10.30am to 5pm every day of the summer, our tea-room at The Needles Old Battery is open most winter weekends too, even though the rest of the site is closed for maintenance. It's the perfect spot to stop for a drink or a snack if you're out walking on the headland.
