With the summer holidays just around the corner, we've lots of fun-packed days planned. There will be five days of activities each week from 20 July to 28 August with the themes of Mucky Mondays, 50 Things Tuesdays, Active Wednesdays, Crafty Thursdays and Pot Luck Fridays! Keep an eye on our events page for specific activities.
Discover fascinating stories and see behind the scenes in our varied programme. Scale the servants' staircase to the attics, climb into the hay loft, or find out more about the parkland and wider estate.

We've everything from wobble dishes and totter beams to spring horses, sound rollers and wooden playhouses. You might notice the makings of a brand new zip wire underway too - keep your eyes peeled on the website to find out when it's ready!
Meet the butler and housekeeper
Look out for the butler and housekeeper in traditional dress. See if you can beat them at the kind of games that Victorian children would have played and learn how servants lived at Nostell.
Dress up and make believe
Don't miss the chance to dress up in the servants' quarters of the house. Get all the family involved with Victorian smocks, hats, and overcoats to help you step into character.
There's plenty you can tick off your list of 50 things to do before you're 11 ¾ at Nostell. From making grass trumpets and flying a kite on the vista to joining holiday activities like den building and campfire cooking, you'll have your scrapbook filled in in no time.
Keen photographers will find picture perfect opportunities by wandering through the Pleasure Grounds. Don't miss the Rose Garden in summer and explore the lakeside paths to find the secluded Menagerie House. How many types of rhubarb can you spot in the Kitchen Garden?
Explore the house
The house is open Wednesday - Sunday with guided tours available from 11am and the rooms opening free-flow from 1pm. As you explore, look out for the new From Gloom to Glow light installations and don't forget to pick up a house guide to give you some of Nostell's background history, we've a handy family guide too.
