Willow the Wizard needs some help with his spell, but watch out for bats, frogs, owls and other hidden creatures while you creep along the trail through our garden.
£2 per trail (normal admission applies)

You can make your own spooky creatures at our ARTventure, how about a monster mobile or some bug bracelets.   FREE (normal admission applies)

Woodland workshops

Mon 27, Wed 29 and Fri 31 Oct
10am to 3pm

Join our Forest School Ranger Tom Hill to learn about and explore Nymans Woods. Discover nature's textures, learn to build a fire and explore just like an animal would.

We have 3 workshops each with a different theme: Outdoor Artist, Sensory Superpowers and Fire & Shelter.

£20/£25 per child. Suitable for 8 years and above.

Children with autumn leaves

Nymans in the autumn is the perfect place to collect leaves and acorns.

How many coloured leaves could you find? Acorns are what we like to use to create pictures in the grass.

If you feel more adventurous then our woodland geocaching and explorer trail will offer hours of fun.

Just for the kids

Keep the kids entertained with our:

  • Spotter & activity sheets
  • Trail in the House & 'Find Foxy'
  • Geocaching in woods & garden
  • Natural play - bamboo jungle, balance beams, roundhouse, den building and a secret path

We have half-size portions of our meals and kids' lunch boxes available in our café. You can get ice-creams and snacks from the tea garden kiosk. Picnics are allowed in the garden.

Pocket money

Check out our childrens range in the shop including books and pocket money toys. There's also inspiration for young gardeners in our plant centre.


Family membership

With family membership you can enjoy great adventures at many National Trust places and free car parking at countryside sites. Both 1 and 2 adult family memberships available, just ask at reception.
