Garden weekend

Sat 6 & Sun 7 Sept, 10am to 4pm

Pick up a map to see where in the garden you can challenge your friends and family to a game of croquet, skittles or badminton. If you're feeling more creative than energetic, come to our potting shed to make your own mini pot decoration.

Our fuchsia competition reaches its final stage this weekend with all the plants on display and judging at 2:30pm on Saturday.

Summer fun

Sat 26 July – Sun 31 August, 10.30am - 3.30pm

Find out about what the Messel family did during the war when you follow our trail around the garden and exhibition. You can also have a go at a traditional game like skipping and create your own poppy.

  • £1 per trail (normal admission applies)

Our summer and flower spotter sheets are a fun way for younger children to explore the garden too.
