  • Public toilets (not National Trust) are located behind Parke House, open all year
  • Fishing rights for the River Bovey are leased to members from the local fishing syndicate. Please contact us for further information
  • Horse riding is permitted in some areas with a licence. To apply for one, please contact us
  • Dogs are welcome, but please keep on a lead where stock are grazing. Please use the waste bins provided for dog mess
  • There are several pubs and hotels in nearby Bovey Tracey
  • Stay at The Lodge, at Parke, sleeps two

Family & children


  • There are no designated accessible spaces in the car park, but it is large and on a level surface, providing easy access to the parkland. There are limited designated spaces close to the café, although we do ask people to use this as a drop-off point if possible
  • Accessible toilets are located behind Parke House (parking available) and in the café
  • The estate comprises a variety of surfaces. There are several rough and uneven paths in the woodland area, with some steep gradients and boardwalks with steps
  • Along the river there are some rocks and tree roots to watch out for, which can be particularly muddy after wet weather
  • There are benches at various view points around the estate
  • An all-terrain mobility vehicle is available for hire to use on a few routes around Parke. This Tramper is part of the Countryside Mobility Scheme and full driver training is provided. Call 01626 834748 for more information and bookings
