A cabinet of curiosities, Peckover is a Georgian town house full of surprises: it's elegant and refined, but also intimate and relaxed.
The Peckovers lived here from the 1790s and were a family of wealthy bank managers and Quakers. They were compassionate, generous, artistic and curious about the world.

A garden of delights awaits you outside. This two acre Victorian garden has hidden corners and paths, plus the occasional touch of the exotic.
From the first flowering of the early spring bulbs through to the glorious midsummer roses and the hazy days of autumn, there's colour all year round - a real paradise.

The Orangery
The Orangery
Home to 300-year-old orange trees that are still fruiting, the orangery is a rare Victorian survival. It forms the centrepiece of the stunning two acre garden. Please note that due to structural damage to the Orangery, it is currently closed to visitors. We are however working to resolve this throughout 2012.

Free garden tours
You can enjoy a free garden tour given by one of our dedicated and friendly volunteer garden stewards.You can join tours on most days at 2.00pm, leaving from the stables.
A welcome in character
Find out about the fascinating history of the Peckover family, as told by one of our costumed interpretation team members. Talks take place on selected days throughout the season.
Croquet on the lawn
Enjoy a game of croquet on the lawn throughout the spring and summer months.
