Plas Newydd on Anglesey in Wales is a truly magical setting for a wedding. We have two rooms within the house to choose from for your ceremony, both guarantee a perfect and unique setting for your civil ceremony.
The largest and most splendid room in the house, this is a wonderful space for a wedding in an historic setting.
The Music Room dates back to the 18th century and has played host to many family parties over the years, even some Royal guests. A 13-year-old Princess Victoria danced the gallop in this very room during her stay at Plas Newydd. Take advantage of our grand Broadwood boudoir piano and use it as part of your ceremony.
The Music Room is the larger of the two rooms licensed for civil ceremonies, with seating available for up to 96 guests.
The Gothick Hall is an intimate room for smaller ceremonies. It is the first room you enter in the house and boasts a gallery at the end with an elaborate plaster fan vault ceiling. Early visitors remarked that they ‘mistakenly felt they were in a chapel’.
The smaller of the two rooms licensed for civil ceremonies, with seating available for up to 26 guests.
