Polesden Lacey is set in acres of unspoilt English countryside

We have over 600 volunteers helping us to run Polesden Lacey, but we're always looking for more volunteers from all backgrounds and all ages. Opportunities range from room guides, gardeners and retail assistants to piano players, researchers and photographers.  Whether you're interested in a one-off activity or a longer term commitment, we'd like to talk to you.

Room guides are vital in bringing Polesden Lacey to life, for inspiring our visitors and helping them to learn more about the place in an interesting and enjoyable way. 

Room guides also play a valuable part in safeguarding our interiors and collections whilst helping to communicate key conservation messages.

Find out about Polesden's history by being part of some of our events

Play a key role in welcoming visitors and act as a point of contact to answer questions visitors may have during their visit. You may also help with children’s trails as well as other events and activities throughout the year.
