Opportunities range from room guides, gardeners and retail assistants to piano players, researchers and photographers. Whether you're interested in a one-off activity or a longer term commitment, we'd like to talk to you.

Why volunteer with us?
Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and expand your horizons.
As part of a team you can help preserve our history and really make a difference.
You can gain work experience or add to your CV.
You'll have the opportunity to see behind the scenes, as well as attend many outings and social events.
Room guides are vital in bringing Polesden Lacey to life, for inspiring our visitors and helping them to learn more about the place in an interesting and enjoyable way.
Room guides also play a valuable part in safeguarding our interiors and collections whilst helping to communicate key conservation messages.
Visitor Services volunteer
Play a key role in welcoming visitors and act as a point of contact to answer questions visitors may have during their visit. You may also help with children’s trails as well as other events and activities throughout the year.
