So much to see and enjoy
Try one of our signposted walks
The estate team have been hard at work re-signposting the Polesden walks so you can find your way more easily. There are now four main walks, each with its own name, colour and symbol. The walks have all been newly marked out and finger posted in both directions. Pick up a new leaflet for only £1 from Visitor Reception, and try our easiest walk: the Chalkpit Walk, which is great for kids. Or if you're feeling energetic, head off for the whole afternoon and take in our woodland walks and stunning views of the Polesden Valley.
Polesden is a great place to bring your dog. However, it is also a working estate with two tenant farmers who graze many of the fields you will cross. To get the best from the land without using chemicals they need to move the animals regularly, so they may be in different areas each time you visit. Before entering a field with your dog, please put them on a lead and check whether the field contains sheep or cattle. When you are sure the field is empty, feel free to let them off the lead, but please put them back on before entering the next field. The woodlands are also home to a wide variety of wildlife. Please help us to protect this too by keeping your dog under control and close to you.
We provide two noticeboards in the car park with information to help you get the most from walking your dog at Polesden. We also hold monthly guided walks for our dog walking club to discover new parts of the estate.
