Bring the dog, and explore the grounds.

With 1,400 acres of grounds at Polesden, there's plenty for the whole family to explore. So if you fancy stretching your legs and getting outdoors, why not bring the family and the dog, and take a walk in this beautiful setting.

Plenty to do for budding explorers

Why not borrow a pair of free binoculars and try your hand at species spotting? We've an array of butterflies, wild orchids, house martins and swallows.

If you hear a cuckoo while out on a walk, please tell one of our rangers. Cuckoos are in serious decline, and we don't think we heard one all last year.

If you just want to sit back, relax and enjoy the views, why not bring the family for a picnic in the orchard. Just grab a rug, find a shady spot and take in the scenery.
