What's on

Our calendar of events starts with guided walks where you can meet new people and learn about the local landscape, and then gears up to offer fun events and activities for children and adults alike throughout the year.

Boat trips

Whether its sunny or dull, a boat trip from Dapdune Wharf into Guildford and back is a great way to spend some time. Meet our volunteer skippers and enjoy the scenery.

Walking

River Wey Navigations

With 20 miles of towpaths, there is lots of walking to be done for anyone who is intrigued by the history and complex landscapes of the Wey Navigations. In some parts urban and built up, in others gliding through pasture and woodland, glinting past rural scenes, echoing its industrial past – there is something for everyone on our do-it-yourself walks.

Licence your boat

Discover the story of Surrey’s first navigable waterway at Dapdune Wharf

The official stuff: you can download our licences here - the annual, visitor and portable licences need to be completed and returned to Thames Lock, Stoke Lock (in person) or the Navigations Office (by post).

Birthday parties

We are gaining a reputation for the best birthday party around (for young, outdoor boys and girls anyway). Den building, pond dipping, bug hunting are all on offer and great fun.

Take up a paddle

Enjoying the peace of the river Wey

Discover the joy of damselflies close up as you paddle the river Wey on a sunny summer afternoon. Try our first canoe trail: Guildford to St Catherine's, and tell us what you think.
