A fine spring evening brought 102 runners out to enjoy the Romp. Paul Crabtree of Wharfedale Harriers was a comfortable winner ahead of Ian McGrath of Durham Fell Runners. Kay Neesam of New Marske Harriers knocked well over a minute off her own course record in winning the ladies race.
After two years of thick fog, a record turn-out of runners were finally able to enjoy the views in the 2014 event. First home was Will Horsley of Northumberland Fell Runners, while congratulations go to Kay Neesam of New Marske Harriers who smashed the ladies record by over a minute.
