How to get here
By train
Newbury Station is on the Penzance to Paddington line and is approximately four miles from the village of Burghclere.
By road
Sandham Memorial Chapel is located ½ mile east of A34 in the village of Burghclere.
Approaching from North (Oxford direction)
Take the A34 southbound towards Newbury. At Chievely Services roundabout, continue on A34 towards Winchester/Southampton/M3. Continue to Tot Hill exit then leave A34, at roundabout take the 2nd exit towards Burghclere. Turn left at T-junction and follow road into Burghclere. The chapel is on your left.
Approaching from East (Reading/ London direction)
Join the M4 motorway westbound towards South Wales/Newbury/Oxford. Leave the M4 at junction 13, then at Chievely Services roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A34 towards Newbury/ Southampton. Continue southbound on A34 to Tot Hill exit, take exit then at roundabout take the 2nd exit towards Burghclere. At the T-junction take the road left into Burghclere and continue through the first set of traffic chicanes. The chapel will be on your left.
Approaching from South (Southampton/Winchester direction)
Join A34 northbound and continue to Tot Hill exit. Leave A34 and take 3rd exit at roundabout, followed by 2nd exit towards Burghclere at second roundabout. At T-junction take road left, follow road into Burghclere. The chapel is on your left.
Approaching from West (Bristol direction)
Take M4 eastbound towards London, exiting at Junction 13 and taking the 3rd exit onto the A34 towards Winchester/Southampton. Continue until Tot Hill exit, then leave A34 and at roundabout take 2nd exit towards Burghclere. At T-junction turn left, and follow road into Burghclere. The chapel is on your left after first traffic chicane.
By bus
From Newbury Bus Station take service 21 or 22 to Burghclere, disembarking at the Carpenters Arms Pub. The chapel is on the opposite side of the road and under a minute's walk away. For more information visit Travel Line South East
