The Estates team

The main group of estate volunteers meet every Friday, some chose to come in on other days. They work on a range of interesting tasks from gardening to clearing Rhododendrons to making pathways and helping with events. You need to be fairly fit and enjoy working outdoors.

Wood/metal work

null

We are always keen to get more volunteers who would like to help with metal and woodworking tasks all around the park. Our industrious volunteers are busy working on a wide range of projects.

Reception/shop/cafe

Prefer to work indoors? Help in reception and the shop or in the Courtyard Cafe. You’ll make a big difference, meeting our visitors and helping to give them a memorable day out.

Guided walks

Guided walks are a good way to learn about the many aspects of the park

We offer varied guided walks, throughout the year, ranging from history of the park to archaeology to wildlife. Could you act as a guide or help visitors on the walks? You don't need to have an in-depth knowledge, most of us learn from listening to the guide.

Outdoor classroom

The outdoors classroom

Rob Coleman, our Learning Leader, is always looking for volunteers to help with our Forest School and with school visits. We can help stimulate children’s learning with a fun and enlightening day out in the park.
