Guided tours
Enjoy a guided tour around this beautiful gothic manor, one of the most important surviving non-fortified manor houses of the Middle Ages. From gothic windows and spiral staircases to 17th-century panelling, this beautiful building is bursting with history.
Take a look at the great kitchen containing what is believed to be the largest fireplace in England and was capable of roasting two oxen together. Here you can see an engraving of the coming of age party of Sir John Reeve de la Pole which lasted three days and included 2,000 guests.
On the second floor you can discover the medieval grand hall complete with its original collar-beam roof. Take a look at the drawing room with its beautiful 17th-century panelling and then take a peek at the servants' quarters.
Our guided tours are only available on four weekends each year. Check our opening times page and put a date in your diary.
