General

  • Restaurant and coffee shop, supplied by Sissinghursts own vegetable plot and tenant farmer
  • We have a wide range of crafts, local produce and books from our gift shop
  • Garden shop with plant sales from Sissinghurst Castle's nursery
  • Dogs on leads are most welcome around the wider estate, but regrettably, are NOT allowed in the formal garden
  • There's no picnicking in the formal gardens. You can picnic on the Plain's tables and benches opposite visitor reception
  • Parking charge for non-NT members - £2
  • Cameras are very welcome in the garden, but please leave your tripod or monopod at home

Family & children

  • PLEASE NOTE: Our formal garden is inaccessible to pushchairs and buggies
  • Baby back-carriers for loan available from visitor reception
  • Baby-changing facilities
  • Children's quiz/trail available from visitor reception
  • You can picnic on the Plain's tables and benches opposite visitor reception

Access

  • Designated disabled parking in the main car park
  • Drop-off points for the mobility buggy are from car park to the visitor reception and the shop
  • Adapted toilet on level ground at visitor reception and via ramp at restaurant
  • Wheelchair users might find some areas of our garden challenging due to uneven paths and steps
