A cottage with history

According to records there were 4 cottages on Church Lawn by the 18th century. 3 remain today.

In 1902 a great fire at the mansion house moved the Hoare family temporarily into this row of cottages and the little cottage became the servants quarters.

The cottage was converted to a National Trust holiday cottage in 2001.
