New Inn's parlour rooms

Step back in time with us

Step back in time with us

Retrace past pleasures and play with Georgian games and traditional building blocks in the parlour rooms of New Inn. The inn is a fascinating, restored 18th-century hostelry and farmhouse.

It's story time

We've written two special stories about Grenville Bear for you to read with your little ones before you visit Stowe. They'll learn about Grenville, see Stowe and find out about the lost property box.

Toddler Tuesdays

Come and play in our new café every Tuesday morning from 10am until 12pm. Activities will vary on the seasons. Have a rummage in the basket for building blocks, colouring activities, natural objects and more.

Yummy pleasures

Our new café, with indoor and outdoor seating, is the perfect pit stop for hungry families. Enjoy healthy, fresh meals, pick and mix children’s lunch boxes and tasty treats. Or picnic in the gardens - just pick a spot.

Have a picnic while the kids play

Stowe is a perfect spot for a picnic. With lots of lawns, benches and beautiful views, you’re sure to want to get out a rug and enjoy. Our favourites include the wildflower-filled Grecian Valley, in front of the Temple of Venus overlooking the Eleven Acre Lake, or a shaded spot in the beautiful Elysian Fields. Kids will love to play in its wide open spaces and magical corners. Even parents can find rare moments of peace and tranquillity here.
