Green and glorious

Staying with the green theme, our topairy provides a year-round sculpted background to our classical sculptures.
Garden with a view
At the centre of Minster Close, the walled garden at Treasurer's House is surrounded by beautiful architecture - the house's classical symmetry can be seen at its best.

Sit back and relax
Whether you fancy a break from work or York's crowded streets, why not have a bite to eat in our garden. You can bring your own food or buy something from the tea-room.
And not to worry, there are plenty of benches so you can rest your feet while taking in the best of views and the planting.
Meet our statues

The god of fire, Vulcan, stands on the steps with his hammer and anvil, looking at the house.
With his dolphin and shell, god of the seas Neptune takes pride of place in our city centre garde...
