Discover what's hidden behind some of our locked doors with our behind the scenes tours. Follow our guide through concealed corridors and up back staircases to uncover some of the more surprising rooms within the house.

Learn more about the beautiful formal gardens with an informal talk with one of our garden team. Discover the secrets of the wilder orchard garden, the expansive lawns of the cedar garden and the 17th-century parterre garden, full of intricate mineral designs.

Every Sunday, 27 July-31 August, 12pm-4pm. £5 per person.

Indulge in style with afternoon tea in the Orangery. Overlooking the seventeenth-century parterre garden this is the perfect treat for any discerning guest (or group of friends looking for a catch up in the sun).

Team up and take on our traditional games this August Bank Holiday. Who will be the new Tredegar House hula hooping champion? Who has inspiring skittle skills?

Spend the weekend together and have a go - we're sure there will be giggles aplenty during the potato racing.

Team up as a family and take part in the 50 things to do before you're 11¾ challenge together. From screening of Project Wild Thing, a film about getting kids (and their parents) closer to nature, to building rafts and camping under the stars; it's time to leave the gadgets at home and get out to enjoy the great outdoors this summer.

Late night Fridays are back. Get on your glad rags, dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to strut your stuff at our 1930s house party.

Take advantage of the lighter evenings, enjoy a cocktail or two in the gardens and join in with the dancing inside. Lindy hop anyone?

Keep your wits about you and get stuck into our children’s trail challenges

Every day, 19 July-31 August, 10.30–4.30pm

Take on our different trail challenges and become a family of nature detectives over the summer holidays - there's plenty to keep you busy.


 

Nature club

Get out into the wild and make new friends at Nature Club

Every Monday, 21 July-25 August. Sessions one hour long, 11am - 3pm

Traipse through the formal gardens on a treasure hunt, make some wild art, grow your own grub and hunt for bugs.

Family crafts

Let out your creative side with family crafts this summer.

Every Friday 25 July-29 August, 12pm-3pm

Make a windmill and see if it will spin in the breeze, have a go at making a traditional paper game and lots more playful crafts.
