Sheltered garden bursting with exotic trees and shrubs

Trengwainton’s winter beauty invites you to explore – and come back for more.

Step aside from hectic Christmas preparations into the tranquillity of a garden at rest.

Wander wooded paths, pause by the stream or catch glimpses of colour from the rhododendrons and camellias that start flowering here as early as November.

A stroll through the walled kitchen garden could provide inspiration for your own growing space or simply find a quiet corner to breathe in the peace of this special place.

The terrace and lawns are closed during Christmas opening, but there’s still 20 acres in which to give your wellies and winter woollies a work-out.

Christmas starts here

Start the festivities with our magical lantern walk event, or browse for gifts in our shop. Step aside from frantic preparations with a quiet winter stroll or feast in the tea-room.

Mooch with pooch

Dogs on leads are welcome everywhere at Trengwainton, including the tea-room garden.

Don't forget to ask for your free biodegradable poo bag from Reception.
