Elizabethan manor house with fine interiors and delightful garden

An intimate Elizabethan manor and a Cornish gem, Trerice remains little changed by the advances in building fashions over the centuries, thanks to long periods under absentee owners.

Today the renowned stillness and tranquillity of Trerice is much prized by visitors.

This silence is occasionally pierced by curious lilts of Tudor music or shouts of excitement from the Bowling Green (surely you will want to try a game of Kayling or Slapcock?), bringing back some of the bustle and noise that must have typified its time as a busy manor house.

Essential work:

  • See our chimney that has been repaired and rebuilt
  • Due to all the work happening, the Great Hall is still inaccessible, but we have provided viewing points around the house for all to have a look at the work progressing

Tudor falconry displays

Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 August, 10.30am - 4.30pm

As seen on BBC's Tudor Monastery Farm, Raphael Historic Falconry will be here with there fantastic displays to delight and dazzle.

Displays at 12 noon, 2pm and 3.30pm


Although dogs can't go into the house and gardens (except assistance dogs), Holywell and surrounding areas have lots of walks for you to explore.
