Young people working on a project at Tyntesfield, Somerset

Tyntesfield is an incredible resource for learning. Whether you're coming as a group for one of our established sessions or looking for a location to do something a bit different please contact us and we will do our best to help you.

We also have an active placement programme managed by our volunteer team and a busy Youth Panel who run events and gain exceptional front line experience working in the heritage sector.

Learning sessions

Understanding our visitors

A perfect place for inspiration © John Millar

Looking for ways of making your course more relevant and exciting for your students? Designed in collaboration with local travel and tourism tutors, this practical session looks at how we seek to understand our visitors, their needs and expectations. Students can also gain an understanding of how to develop a marketing strategy.

Victorian Literature

Which texts will you discover © John Millar

Our new Victorian literature session has received fantastic feedback. Discover famous Victorian texts, from Mrs Beaton to The Turn of the Screw and put the themes into context as you read and discuss extracts in the house and grounds.

More for young people

Tyntesfield has a youth panel called TYNTE. This group of volunteers organise events and opportunities for other young people across the estate, from music and art workshops to volunteering sessions and training.
