Our house contains 18th-century collections and Victorian servants' quarters which have  survived in their original setting, including French furniture, Italian paintings and French pottery.

Our vision was to restore Uppark, following a major fire in 1989, to its appearance the day before the fire.

Enjoy spectacular views of the South Downs and our working meadow.

We're working on renovating our summer borders to encourage a colourful display.

You can also take a stroll along our Maple drive and through our woodland.

Don't miss the dairy

Our Georgian dairy is to be found by walking along the green lawns of the west terrace.

Giving views to the south it was the perfect place for the ladies of the house to sit and enjoy a cream tea.

The outer, ‘fancy dairy’, was designed so that they could adopt the role of dairy maids for their amusement.

Woodland walk

Stretch your legs with a walk through our woodland.

Currently  being restored and opened up to reveal new views and to encourage bio diversity.

Catch your breath by sitting on the eco seat half way up.

Don't forget to look out for our nature friendly 'dead hedge'.

World famous doll's house

Dating from between 1735 and 1740 our doll's house has been described as one of the two most important British dolls’ houses that have survived from that era.

It gives a very detailed glimpse of family and servant life and perhaps had a use in educating young ladies about life belows stairs.
