Whether you want an energetic cycle ride to get the blood pumping, or whether you would prefer a gentle pedal on the flat, we have routes to suit your style here in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

Cycling events

We are running a number of cycling events in 2014. From guided cycle rides, to courses in mountain biking, to our Dales Track Attack challenge, we have something to suit everyone.

When you arrive at one of our places by bike, you're sure of a warm welcome - we can't offer you a free cuppa like some places can, but we do have some fantastic routes for you to ride.

Road cycling in the Dales

On 5 July 2014, the world’s biggest sporting event, the Tour de France, weaves its way through this stunning part of the Dales.

Day One sees the Tour travelling up Wharfedale: the route will bring the riders through Kettlewell, Starbotton, Buckden and over Cray, the first climb of the Tour.
