Family volunteering
Upton House and Gardens

Here at Upton we are always looking for new ways you can get involved. Volunteering is such a fun and rewarding way to be part of the magic of Upton and now you can bring the whole family along.

Why not bring the whole family?

We have developed a flexible and friendly approach to enable families to volunteer in a way that fits in with their busy lifestyles. Come when you want, as often as you want. That might be several times a week in the holidays and then once a month for a while. Let us know what’s going to work for you.

What can families do?

There are lots of volunteering roles at Upton House and Gardens you can take part in, but families enjoy these two roles the most:

  • Family Cooks - making scones and other treat and tasters for visitors in the historic 1930s kitchen.
  • Games Makers - hosting the garden games on the sunken lawn, encouraging other families to join in and getting a good competition going!

If you think this might be something for you and your children or grandchildren, please get in touch with the volunteering team

Once you've made contact, we invite you to come along for a trial day where you can find out if you like it and we can take it from there...
