Bring your club, association or group of friends to spend a glorious day at Upton House & Gardens.
In 2015 the property will be transformed into ‘Banking for Victory’ – A Country House at War where a London merchant bank, owned by the family, was relocated to Upton during World War II . Upton became the bank's HQ and an emergency home to key staff working there during hostilities.
We are featuring stories about the staff evacuated from London, the family’s military service during the war, how the artwork was evacuated to safe storage in Wales, digging for victory in the garden and the wider estate. Our Pavilion Restaurant and Shop will also be able to cater for all your refreshment and shopping needs.
We are pleased to arrange private tours of the house and garden for your group. For pre-booked groups of over 15 people there are reduced entry prices with complimentary entry for the organiser.
