Miles of beautiful coast and countryside are just waiting to be explored, and what better way than by taking a two-wheeled adventure?

Take a Sky Ride Local

British Cycling's Sky Ride Locals are free, guided bike rides for cyclists of all abilities that take place across the country.

There are over sixty Sky Ride Locals happening at places we look after, and they're a fantastic way to see some stunning views and beautiful buildings.

The Grand Depart

This July Yorkshire will host the opening of the world's greatest cycle race. Get right to the heart of the action by staying at one of our pop-up campsites along the route.

A challenge like no other

Matt Hopkins cycling the Coast to Coast challenge

Matt Hopkins cycling the Coast to Coast challenge

In June 2013, Matt Hopkins cycled the 150-mile Coast to Coast challenge. An amazing achievement for anyone, but even more so when you consider that four years earlier Matt had suffered a climbing accident which shattered his pelvis and back. Matt took the time to talk to us about his experience, and why he loves cycling.

Sustrans

Over 150 of the places we care for are within a mile one of Sustrans' National Cycle Network routes, so why not use pedal power to visit a place?

Cycle hire

Not got a bike or helmet? At many of our places you can hire everything you need for a day out on the trails – all you’ve got to provide is bags of energy.

Bike rides for little legs

Take the kids for a spin on one of our family friendly cycling routes. Then little ones can tick off number 11 on our list of 50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾.
