There's something special about packing a picnic, filling your flask and eating outdoors. Get out and about and enjoy that very British tradition - the family picnic. Here's just an idea of some of our favourite places to enjoy a picnic.

Get stuck in. Bake your own bread at Erddig, milk a cow or do the housework at Llanerchaeron. Join the guards at Chirk Castle or just relax around the dining table and admire the Whistler painting at Plas Newydd County House and Gardens.
