Many people are drawn to offering their services as a volunteer with us because of the diversity of the roles and our emphasis on heritage, conservation and preservation. We have people from all walks of life and all ages bringing a unique set of skills and knowledge. We need you.

If history and meeting people is your passion, then this is your chance to get behind the scenes in this wonderful Tudor house brimming with history stretching back to the 16th century. Here you can meet like-minded people who, like you, can engage with the public with their enthusiasm for the past and bring it alive.

Get out and about and enjoy natures spectacular scenes

Our team of friendly woodland rangers get involved in all manner of activities, tree felling, fencing, gate repairs, woodland management and cattle looking while also learning about the environment. Fancy getting your hands dirty? Why not come and join us here or at The Chase nature reserve?

We have a varied calendar of events throughout the season ranging from outdoor activities to musical festivities which are always busy and fun time for us. Why not be part of the excitement and a part of the team that makes our visitors' day a memorable and enjoyable experience?

 Why not be part of our great team at visitor reception? Greet, inform and orientate visitors on their arrival. Ensure they have an enjoyable and pleasant start to their day with us.

This involves providing a warm welcome for visitors, answering any immediate questions and handing out relevant leaflets that will ensure that visitors have a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable experience.
