Food & farming
We are committed to supporting sustainably produced, local and seasonal food because it is better for the special places we look after, better for the environment and tastes better too.
British Food Fortnight 20 September – 5 October
An annual celebration of the best food and drink this country has to offer. Foodie enthusiasts can enjoy various events, or sample the special harvest treats available at some of our cafés. You can also try these recipes at home.
Knowing where your dinner has come from is important, and our farmers pride themselves on producing quality local food. Many of our tenant farmers have shops selling tasty produce grown on our land. Run independently, these shops are often situated close to our houses, gardens and parks and can provide a tasty treat to take home from your day out. Or why not plan a visit to your local farmers' market?
