Discover the limestone countryside of the southern Peak District, famed for its wildlife and geology. Starting in the tranquil Victorian landscape and woodland of Ilam Park, this easy walk takes you into Dovedale - an iconic and spectacular gorge carved out by the river Dove. There’s plenty to explore at both ends.

This circular walk from the stone built village of Wetton, in the Peak District National Park, explores Thor's Cave and then continues down to Ilam Park, before returning along the opposite side of the River Manifold. The terrain is hilly with some sections on quiet roads and some paths get quite muddy in wet weather. Dogs welcome on leads.
