Can you spare any time at the weekend?

Which role excites you?

  • Room history volunteer
  • Shop assistant
  • Tea-room assistant
  • Visitor reception assistant

What kind of things are on offer?

Room history

Volunteer making a difference to someones day

Room volunteers are the backbone of the visitor experience. They help tell the story of Wightwick to visitors.

The role suits someone with an interest in art or history, although you don't need previous knowledge or experience. Just be willing to talk to visitors.

Visitor reception

As a volunteer in visitor reception, you may be the first person our visitors meet. Creating a great first impression is key.

You'll help to hand out maps and children's trails, and ensure that our visitors know where everything is. And, you'll get great customer service experience.

Shop

Our shop is different. Reflecting the special nature of the house, we sell speciality William Morris products. The shop is one of the best performing in the National Trust.

We've just doubled the retail space by joining the shop to the old tea-room space. Now we need more volunteer support to make our exciting new space work.
