50 things to do before you're 11¾ at Wimpole

Whatever the weather, Wimpole has masses of space to explore and create great adventures. You can try at least 10 of your 50 things here, so collect a booklet from our ticket office and start ticking them off.

    2. Roll down a really big hill

As we're in Cambridgeshire our hills are probably just gentle slopes but you can roll down them.

    4. Build a den

Check out our events page as we usually have den building as an activity.

    6. Run around in the rain

We're sure you can find the odd puddle or two at Wimpole in which to splash about in the rain.

    7. Fly a kite

With a breeze from the south west, the South avenue is a good place to fly a kite. Just start away from the large trees.

    11. Go on a really long bike ride

From a gentle tarmac road to meandering through a woodland drive, there are a few options for family cycling at Wimpole

    23. Visit a farm

We've got this one all wrapped up. There are great things to see and do whilst you're on the farm - groom a donkey or see the milking demonstration; so much to fit in.

    34. Track wild animals

    Binoculars

From the geese on the lake to footprints in the mud, you're sure to spot something wild on your travels.

    35. Discover what is in a pond

    Children pond dipping

With a few ponds and lakes in the park and gardens, join in with our pond dipping events and discover what lurks beneath the water line.

    44. Go birdwatching

    Birdwatching 50 Things

There are plenty of birds on the estate, from small robins and chaffinches to swans on the lake, so grab your binoculars and see for yourself.

We've five geocaches to find. Borrow a GPS from our ticket office and set off to explore the estate and find hidden treasure.
