There's always something happening here so please have a look at our latest events.
Visit us through the seasons
Spring and summer

- Spring: Cheerful blossoms brighten the landscape, with bluebells, magnolias, azaleas, and rhododendrons.
- Summer: Lush greens and leafy groves provide the perfect backdrop for family adventures.
Autumn

As autumn descends, a magical transformation occurs. The lush greens of the arboretum disappear, but instead of the trees quietly drifting off into a wintry sleep, they blaze into glorious colour. You'll see what Dr Wilfrid Fox really meant when he talked about painting with trees.
Winter

Brilliant berries and hollies stand out against frosted tree skeletons.
Bring your dog

We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads all year round, but ask that all visitors kindly clear up after their pets. Thank you.
Free guided walks
Tours run on the first Wednesday of each month, starting at 2.30pm and lasting for approximately an hour and a half. Please phone in advance to check availability.
Identifying bluebells
Make the most of the bluebells at Winkworth by downloading a copy of our free guide. Learn all about the history of the bluebell and how to identify the different varieties around the arboretum.
