Parkland restoration

Funding has been secured for a five year conservation programme in partnership with Natural England. 

Our aim for the project is to deliver significant benefits to:

  • wildlife
  • landscape
  • historic environment
  • resource protection
  • restoration of views
  • community engagement and involvement

Sourlands Weir given new lease of life

The next phase of the historical parkland project started on the 17 August and will last for approximately 10 weeks. The lower and upper weirs are being repaired as well as the pathway.

Access will be restricted around the Pool whilst the work is being carried out. Please follow all diversion signage.
