We have a variety of work for large groups to take part in

Corporate volunteering is a great way to get out of the office and get to know your team in a completely different environment. We can provide an opportunity to combine your team away day with our conservation aims on the Marsden Moor Estate.

Groups in the past have enjoyed a variety of tasks including helping with biological surveying, digging out the invasive rhododendrons and planting plug plants. We can offer a range of practical work for different sized groups of varied abilities. The tasks undertaken are achievable and rewarding – at the end of the day you can see the real difference your team has made.

We will provide all necessary tools and safety equipment for the day, as well as giving the team a safety briefing at the beginning of the day to ensure safe working practices.

A day of practical work in the great outdoors with so much fresh air should certainly leave you feeling like you have had a rewarding day’s work. Feedback from participants in the past has included ‘that it is better exercise than going to the gym’ and there is the added bonus of helping with the conservation of our beautiful moorland. Luckily Marsden village has a number of good pubs for you and your colleagues to retreat to after the work is done.

You will find we are close to many large conurbations and easily accessible by car or public transport from Huddersfield, Oldham, and Manchester. It is an ideal location for many businesses in the surrounding area to help support their local environment whilst developing their own teams. So, why not break away from the desk and the office, and have a day of work out in the open air?
